5 Stars Multipurpose External Hard Drive
I have two external hard drives. One to backup my entire computer, I keep it plugged in and Mac automatically backs up in regular intervals. Everything about a mac is highly intuitive and this is no exception. I also have this product that I use to keep my media on. I keep photos, music, and movies on this drive and off of my laptop. When I want to access them, all I have to do is plug in the Passport and open iTunes, or open the photos folder.

I would never have had enough room on my laptop to hold all of my media. This product has been so simple to use and to set up for this purpose!

2 Stars Doesn’t work well on older Macs!!
I was prepared to love everything about this product as friends have raved about how compact and easy it is to use, but if you have an older Mac, you will have problems powering the device from the older USB port. I bought a number of different powered USB port devices but it still did not work. Every now and then it would show up on in my Finder screen but the it would drop off just as quickly. All I can say is be very careful with this device if your trusting your precious data with it (another words beware!!)

I really love it!! Not only does it feel like I have an endless amount of space, but it was also so easy to set up! Just hook up to your computer and follow the directions. Everything that I was looking for in a Portable Hard Drive!!

5 Stars Great HD for the Mac
I bought this as an external HD for my Macbook. It worked as expected right out of the box. Just plug it in and go. It produces hardly any heat, but I must say I don’t usually use it for extended periods of time. It is quite and I was surprised by how small it is. I would not hesitate to buy another one.
