the only thing annoying is the wrist cushion which can get pushed around a little.

But it’s light weight and good looking, and gets the job done.

Materials seem to be of high quality.

It functions exactly as advertised.

I use it on my desk almost exclusively so I have removed the large pad from the front.

The “rubber” buttons provided for the surface between the unit and the computer work well to hold the computer from slipping and to provide an air channel for cooling.

The only slight crticism is that the hinge points, a rivit, seemed too loose to me. I tightened them on an anvil and the unit seems more soild.

4 Stars Great little stand for your desk, not so much your lap
While I was excited to have a rest for my wrists on my sharp macbook, I quickly dumped the front velvet thing which isn’t so squishy and soft as I thought, its more a firm velvet covered thing. Other than that I love having it on my desk for my laptop, it seems to dissipate heat well and the inclined angle actually allows my hands to fall more naturally and NOT press them into the sharp edge of my laptop. The back-hinge is really flimsy but like I said its great on the desk. On my lap, it is great in keeping me fertile however I didn’t mind it more comfortable if not less than the bare laptop, but it does keep the heat away!

I know this sounds very negative but in the end I love this stand even if it is overpriced. The angle is great and the metal is very nice looking, just pop off the front support and enjoy!

1 Star Bottom cushion worthless
I have been using the iLap for several weeks with my MacBook Pro 15″. I keep the computer on the iLap in my lap almost all day, every day. After about 10 days, the bottom cushion started to slip, due to its one-sided velcro (only on the bottom). At this point, I’ve always got the hook side of the velcro scratching my legs - this is shorts weather, ouch! - but because of the tilt of the iLap itself, taking off the cushion would mean that the computer would slide off the front. I’m unhappy with my purchase and am in the process of looking for a replacement.

iLap certainly served its purpose. Very convenient stand to put my Macbook Pro on. Im using it on my lap and on the desk, it really adjusts the angle so my back doesn’t hurt me, and most importantly it increases the airflow underneath the laptop which cools it down a lot.

Very useful!!
